May 2017 St. Clair Parkway Event Results

We got it in—barely.  Twenty one battle-tested mudders, dug out their rain gloves, bucket hats, rain pants and jackets and survived the 1st MOGTT event of the season.
The first 3-4 groups of the day  dealt with a a bit of rain early but were able to ditch the raingear for the last few holes. The final groups weren’t so lucky and had to survive a monsoon on the final hole.  Moments later the course became unplayable with standing water.

Tournament director, Grant Gulych, was the big winner of the day carding the lowest score (37 points or 1 under par) and winning 3 skins.  Brett McBride was runner-up with a fine even par round of 36 points and an eagle skin on the last hole.

The most dramatic skin and all and nearly all of the clubhouse talk, was had by tour veteran, Jack Black, who aced the par 3, 2nd hole from approximatley 140 yards.  It was his 2nd on our tour and his 7th overall.  Nice job, Jack.  Jack also walked off with low net honors and a fine 33 point, 3 over par round.

Other winners were:  Tim Hallwood, 3rd place low gross, 31 points; Vito Cisternino, 2nd place low net;  Dennis Babcock, 3rd place, 32 points/39.5 net points; Jack Deming, 4th low net, 28 points/38 net points.
